“Mr. Trump rejected a plan that Vice President Mike Pence privately floated to Democrats last month, saying $2.5 billion for border security — rather than the $5.6 billion that the president has requested — was insufficient. He also rejected a compromise that would pair money for a wall with legislation to protect young immigrants brought to the country illegally as children.”

Now McConnell is saying he won’t allow a vote on HIS bill that already passed the Senate 100–0.

Trump, assisted by his minion Mitch McConnell, has said it’s his way or the highway. He is the one unwilling to compromise. Both the Democrats and Pence have proposed ways to resolve this, but he wants to continue his temper tantrum.
