I would suggest that before you call someone you disagree with a liar, you should consider the implications your venom has for our political system. We are not enemies. We are both Americans who want the best for our country. If you disagree with me, that is your right, and I respect that. I only request the same level of respect from you. If we cannot disagree and still respect each other, then real democracy in America is truly dead.
Second, in support of my point on the Republican hopes to get to 60 votes, I would suggest you quote what I actually wrote, which was “[a]t one point, Republicans were imagining they might be able to get a veto-proof 60 vote majority in this election as the Democrats did in 2008.” That’s very different from your accusation that I asserted Republicans “expected to break the 60 seat line.” Furthermore, in support of my point, I would direct you to the following article from a very credible source:
