First of all, it doesn’t matter the original source of the policy if it is a positive policy at this point. Nixon helped create the EPA which I strongly favor. Second, according to the research by Alan Krueger, there is no evidence that a higher minimum wage hurts job creation. Finally, the problem is not that the employers are subsidizing social needs. Instead, taxpayers are subsidizing employers who pay low wages leaving their employees eligible for assistance despite working full time.
